My name is Mac McCann and I am happy to say that I am living my dream. As is common with most animators, I had the desire to become what I am now at an early age. For me, I was 5. Since then life has taken me on a mostly enjoyable journey to where I am now. And I am optimistic that life will continue to be an exciting and satisfying journey.
I constantly strive to be better at all I do and to help whoever I can along the way. Since starting out in the video game industry I have advanced from being simply an animator to being a rigger and scripter as well. I have had the opportunity to work with and lead teams in the production of game and commercial assets. My responsibilities have included: rigging of characters and props for animation, Animating cycles/cut-scenes/cinematics, tool development for streamlining production tasks from 3d modeling through rendering, maintaining schedules and tasks within the pipeline, communication between and with people in various disciplines, and feedback of art throughout the pipeline.
I prefer a friendly work environment and do my best to see that everyone has a positive work place where they are respected and valued. I welcome feedback and am excited to learn and grow in all aspects of my artistic and personal life.
I have 10+ years of experience leading and managing teams including: Lead Animator leading a small team of animators on a single project to Animation Director and Art Director leading larger teams across multiple projects with multiple art and animation styles. I enjoy pushing things to their utmost limit and finding exciting visuals to overcome any and all design challenges.
